Opel has recently announced the launch of the Mokka in Australia, where the crossover will join other models in the company’s lineup.
The brand new Opel Mokka is already available for order in most markets across the Old Continent, but the model is now getting ready to take on a whole new market, Australia. According to the German based automaker, the new Opel Mokka will be launched in Australia in the third quarter of this year, where the model will join other vehicles in the company’s lineup, like the Corsa, the Astra or the Insignia, becoming the fourth model currently on sale in the Pacific country.
The Opel Mokka will be offered in two- and four-wheel drive configurations and the model will use the 1.4 liter turbocharged engine, which is good for 140 HP (103 kW) and 200 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint in this version will take 9.9 seconds and average fuel consumption will stand at 6.4 L / 100 km (44 mpg). The six-speed automatic transmission will also be available, but as an option. Prices for the Opel Mokka should start at between 25,000 AUD and 3,000 AUD. Additional details on the Australian Opel Mokka are limited for the moment.
