The all-new German compact SUV, the Opel Mokka, will have a starting price of 18,990 euros in its local auto market once the model will be launched at the end of the year.

General Motors’ sub-brand, Opel, has recently announced more details about its new Mokka model and we finally know what we will be able to find under its hood. According to the car manufacturer, the Opel Mokka will get a new 1.4 liter petrol turbo engine, which will generate 140 HP and 200 Nm of torque, along with a 1.7 liter CDTi diesel unit, producing 130 HP and 300 Nm of torque, which might be similar to the one recently introduced on the facelifted Chevy Cruze.

The diesel variant will be available with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual gearbox, while the smaller 1.4 liter petrol unit will get the manual at start. The Opel Mokka will be offered in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive layouts and its technologies will include the Opel Eye rear camera, the Lane Departure Warning and the Traffic Sign Recognition II, along with ESC, traction control, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and others.

The new Opel Mokka will be sitting on 18-inch alloy wheels in standard and its trunk will offer a 1,372 liters in capacity, which will be added to the 19 storage compartments throughout the cabin. The basic equipment will include Bluetooth, CD stereo, manual air conditioning and more. The model will be launched across Europe at the end of 2012.
