German customers will be the first to have the opportunity to purchase the new 2015 Corsa OPC, with the German automaker Opel announcing the pricing of the model.
Including VAT, Europe’s largest auto market will have the Opel Corsa OPC hot hatch priced from 24,395 euros, with the model already available for order. The high performance model has under the hood a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that outputs 207 PS (152 kW) and a maximum of 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque when the overboost function is activated. The power mill is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that sends the car to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, on its way to a maximum speed of 230 km/h (143 mph). The model has also an increased fuel efficiency over its predecessor, needing 7.5 liters of gasoline per 100 km (31.3 mpg US), the CO2 emissions being at 174 g/km. The OPC sets itself apart from the Corsa range through the modified bodywork, featuring a stylish front end with bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights, new side skirts, a rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Inside the hot hatch we have the flat-bottom steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, Recaro performance seats and a revised instrumentation. There’s also a standard six-speaker audio system complete with USB and Bluetooth, but if you feel technical you can change it for an extra 300 euros to the IntelliLink infotainment system. There’s also the option of getting the OPC Performance Package that fits some great Brembo brakes, a locking differential and comes with larger, 18-inch alloys.
