The German based automaker Opel has recently announced a new engine which is now available for the Zafira Tourer.
According to the car manufacturer, the new engine available for the Opel Zafira Tourer is coming as a 2.0 liter bi-turbo CDTI unit, which is now producing a total output of 195 HP. Thanks to this brand new engine, the Opel Zafira Tourer is now the most powerful car in its segment. The 195 HP and the 400 Nm of torque produced by the 2.0 liter CDTI bi-turbo unit are allowing the Opel Zafira Tourer to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 218 km/h.
Even with this performance, the Opel Zafira Tourer, equipped with the 2.0 CDTI engine, is burning an average of 5.6 liters of fuel, every 100 km. Once the brand new unit will become available on the Zafira Tourer, future customers of the model will be able to order four diesel engines, four petrol units and two powered by natural gas or LPG. The “brand new” Opel Zafira Tourer Bi-Turbo will be launched in April this year and rumors are saying that it might make its public debut in March, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. More details on the model will be announced close to its launch.
