Italian supercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili S.p.A., today named The Auto Gallery of Beverly Hills and British Motor Cars in San Francisco as its official stateside dealers for its latest creation, the Pagani Huayra. So, both dealers are in California.
Both locations will sell the Huayra, yet neither location will keep a vehicle in stock. A demo car will be stateside but it will be relegated to press events. The Modena, Italy, car maker says both dealerships will begin taking orders for the Huayra in the middle of this year and it expects to begin delivering the cars to customers by early 2012.
The company also welcomes clients to visit its factory in Italy, for the best possible way to experience Pagani.
Pagani may evaluate adding more dealers to its U.S. network in the future and will announce additional U.S. distribution plans throughout 2011.
“Both The Auto Gallery and British Motor Cars have extensive track records of excellence, not to mention a long-standing relationship with Pagani Automobili and Mr. Pagani personally,” said Francesco Zappacosta, Managing Director of Pagani. “We are certain that they are the right partners to help us make our first entry into the U.S. and positive that they will exceed client expectations both during and after the sale.”
Named after an ancient god of wind, the 700-horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque Huayra has a body made of carbo-titanium and a 12-cylinder turbocharged engine. Two air intakes are situated behind the drivers’ shoulders, and gullwing doors are cut deep into the roof in order to allow for an extremely rigid ride.
The Huayra has a top speed in excess of 235 miles per hour, and a 0-62mph time of just 3.2 seconds. It costs about $1.1 Million.
