There will indeed be a roadster version of the Pagani Huayra – that roadster is coming in 2014.
The success enjoyed by the new Huayra, Zonda’s successor, has entailed a lot of speculation on the evolution of the Italian manufacturer.
In an interview with Autoblog Argentina, the man behind Pagani Automobili bared the company’s plans of building a drop-top Huayra.
When asked if there was going to be a future Huayra roadster, Pagani: “Yes, surely there will be a model Huayra Roadster in approximately three years.”
Additional information is limited, but most probably the car will feature an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine that develops over 700 PS (515 kW / 690 hp) and 1000 Nm (737 Nm) of torque. No words about its price but we know that the normal version costs $1.35 million.
