Pagani Huayra still not street-legal in the U.S.

The Pagani Huayra is still not street legal in the United States but despite this “small inconvenient”, 18 orders for the supercar have been received across the country.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Pagani Huayra still has to be certified as a street legal car across the United States but this didn’t stop 18 lucky millionaires to order the model. The Huayra hasn’t yet been filmed on U.S. streets so our guess is that their lucky owners probably drive them on tracks for the moment. Pagani has managed to sell a total of 105 Huayra supercars across the globe and prices for the model have been set at almost 1.6 million USD.

As a quick reminder, he Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine with dual turbochargers, which is producing a total output of 700 HP, with a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (740 lb-ft). The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph). The Pagani Huayra is capable of withstanding 1.5G of lateral acceleration and its engine is mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission. The supercar is priced at 1,150,000 USD and it has been in production since 2011.
