Pagani has announced its plans to introduce the Huayra in the United States by June, 2013, but before it will be launched there, it will have to suffer some modifications.
According to the Italian based automaker, the Pagani Huayra will be launched in the United States next year, where it will hit the dealerships by June. Before it will be shipped over-seas, the Pagani Huayra will have to suffer some modifications in order to satisfy U.S. safety regulators, like the install of “smart” airbags. Pagani will spend an additional 4 million euros in order to install these airbags. Just 15 units of the Pagani Huayra will be available in the U.S. so if you want to get your hands on one you should hurry up and order it.
The Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine with dual turbochargers, which is producing a total output of 700 HP, with a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (740 lb-ft). The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph). The Pagani Huayra is capable of withstanding 1.5G of lateral acceleration and its engine is mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission. The supercar is priced at 1,150,000 USD and it has been in production since 2011.
