Since we’re dealing with an exotic automaker – a lengthy teasing campaign is somewhat to be expected – so Pagani is dragging its feet as much as it can ahead of the reveal for its Huayra Roadster.
By the way – it’s also a bit misleading for the global audience, because as specialists we already know Pagani has shown the finished Huayra Roadster to a slew of potential customers that have the money to grab the exotic supercar. So giving us, mere mortals, just glimpses is like teasing a hungry man about the dinner you ate last night. Anyways, the convertible is not due for its official public debut until March during the worldwide display at the Geneva Motor Show so the teasing dance is surely going to bring new songs.
By the way, while Pagani has teased it on occasions, it has been very secretive with the actual details of the project. The rumor mill goes for a removable roof panel like on the Zonda Roadster and we’re also expecting Pagani to do something out of the ordinary with the rest. Pagani has already showed the model to a few “initiates” during the 2016 Monterey Car Week, but interested wealthy buyers also had the chance to see it while visiting the company’s recently finished plant in Italy. We’re also expecting the Roadster to lose the gullwing door design but retain the biturbo 6.0-liter V12 engine packing 730 horsepower (537 kilowatts) and 737 pound-feet (1,000 Newton meters).
