The Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept has been recently unveiled by the German based automaker during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Audi says that the Crosslane Coupe Concept is previewing the future design of upcoming Q series models, including the anticipated Q2. The Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept is basically a plug-in hybrid concept with a three-cylinder 1.5 liter TFSI engine and two electric motors which help the model burn just 1.1 liters of fuel every 100 km (255 mpg UK / 213.8 mpg US), while emitting just 26 g/km of CO2.
The total output developed by the powertrain is 177 horsepower (130 kW) and this helps the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.6 seconds in hybrid mode and in 9.8 seconds in all electric mode, before reaching a top speed of 182 km/h (113 mph). The maximum electric range provided by the powertrain is 86 km (53.4 miles) and the (1,390 kg) 3,064 lbs car is getting a 17.4 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept is 4.21 meters long, 1.88 meters wide and 1.51 meters high with a wheelbase of 2.56 meters. Audi says that the model can be driven in all electric mode at speeds up to 130 km/h (80.7 mph). Additional details on the Audi Crosslane Coupe Concept are limited for the moment but just like almost every concept car out there, once it will hit the production line, the final version will be totally different.
