The Citroen C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept has been officially presented to the public at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, in a premiere.
Citroen has brought the C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept to the 2014th edition of the Paris Motor Show, where the one-off car is currently on display. The model in question is coming with a number of aerodynamic styling tweaks which are said to reduce drag by up to 20 percent. These include the new front bumper with three air intakes which can automatically open to cool the engine or close to improve the aerodynamics and burn less fuel.
The Citroen C4 Cactus AIRFLOW 2L Concept is also getting a large rear spoiler, 19-inch active shutter wheels wrapped in ultra-low rolling resistance tires, side view cameras and so on. The model is using aluminum, high-strength steel and composites to it has shed 100 kg from its weight. Power to the one-off vehicle is being provided by a PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine, a hydraulic pump / motor, a compressed air energy storage unit and an automatic transmission with an epicyclic gear train. Thanks to its setup, the model can burn an impressive 2L of fuel every 100 km (141.2 mpg UK / 117.6 mpg US).
