The Japanese automaker has introduced in front of the worldwide audience at the Paris Motor Show the latest version of the NX crossover – the Sport trim, which brings a host of enhancements.
Back in 2015 when it was introduced the NX compact crossover brought Lexus’ first turbocharged engine – the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder was mated to a CVT and had 235 horsepower (175 kilowatts) and 258 pound-feet (359 Newton-meter) of torque. Now for this year’s edition of the French event next to the UX concept Lexus has also unveiled a more interesting NX version. This option is already known from the CT and IS, and makes the transition to the NX – don’t mistake it as being in line with the F performance versions because it doesn’t bring any power enhancements – and also sits in the line below the F Sport trim.
The novelties include 18-inch black alloy wheels, black door mirror housings, and a black finish to the spindle grille and its frame. The interior is clad in a Sport-exclusive fabric, or Tahara leather-effect upholstery. There are also Black or Dark Rose colors with silver inserts. The package reaches dealerships starting October across Europe and the UK.
