The new generations of the Smart ForTwo and ForFour have been officially presented to the public attending the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Smart has officially pulled the wraps off the new generations of the ForTwo and ForFour a few months back so everything there is to know about them, including their price, is already available, but the Daimler owned brand had to make them some more publicity with the help of the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The 2015 Smart ForTwo is now 2,69 meters long, 1,66 meters wide and 1,55 meters tall and it is riding on a 1,873 mm long wheelbase.
Its larger brother, the ForFour, in its new generation, stands at 3,49 meters in length and it has a 2,494 mm long wheelbase. Smart says that at the time of their launch, the two vehicle are coming with the 1.0 liter naturally aspirated engine, which is producing 71 HP (52 kW) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque. The 0.9 liter turbocharged engine will also become available, with its 90 HP (66 kW) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque. The 60 HP unit will be introduced later on, as an entry-level version. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual clutch. Prices for the new ForTwo start at 11,000 euros and for the ForFour at 11,600 euros.
