Audi’s booth at the 2012 Paris Motor Show includes the SQ5 TDI Exclusive Concept, a beefed-up version of its Q5 SUV that is presented as a limited edition model.
The performance SUV is powered by a 313-horsepower 3.0-liter engine and is the first S model in the history of Audi powered by a diesel engine. It is also the first Audi SUV bearing the S moniker.
The Aral Blue crystal effect exterior finish was specially developed for the exclusive, limited production model, while the exterior mirrors are in aluminum look, as with every Audi S model. The car is fitted as standard with Xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights, while at the rear, the four exhaust tailpipes show the sporty character of the vehicle.
On the inside, the SQ5 TDI Audi exclusive concept offers striking contrasts: the leather multifunction sports steering wheel and the gear lever gaiter in black Fine Nappa leather are enphasized with contrasting stitching in snow white, as are the center armrest and the dashboard cover.
A special highlight are the black sport seats covered in Fine Nappa leather, which also feature contrasting stitching in snow white and black, woven leather in the center section of the seats. The SQ5 TDI Audi exclusive concept marks the first time that woven leather has been used in a production vehicle.
The car will be produced in a limited edition of 50 units from the first quarter of 2013. The SQ5 TDI Audi exclusive concept will be priced from €92,000 in Germany, while the „normal” SQ5 TDI will be available from €58,500.
