Bentley is launching the Continental GTC V8 at the Paris Motor Show, a luxurious convertible powered by a new 4.0-liter twin turbocharged V8 engine.
The Continental GTC convertible and its GT coupe sibling are posting improved standards for power-to-emissions in the high luxury sports car sector.
The new engine delivers maximum power of 500 hp at 6000 rpm and a massive peak torque of 660 Nm, available across virtually the entire rev range. This guarantees exhilarating performance and effortless power delivery in the Bentley tradition.
The 0 to 100 km/h sprint time is 4.8 seconds for the GT Coupe, while the top speed is 303 km/h. According to Bentley, the new V8 Continental models achieve outstanding levels of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions for the luxury performance sector and are capable of travelling over 800 km on a single tank of fuel (90 liters capacity). Combined fuel consumption is 10,9 liters/100 km, with CO2 emissions rated at 257 g/km. Extra-urban consumption is 8 liters/100 km, while urban consumption sits at 15,8 liters/100 km.
A new 8-speed transmission delivers faster, smoother gear changes, and accounts for 6 percent of the total 40 percent efficiency gain achieved by the new V8.
