The final production version of the Jaguar F-Type has been brought to the 2012 Paris Motor Show where it managed to attract a lot of curious eyes.
The all-new Jaguar F-Type, which is the successor of the legendary E-Type, has started its public life as a concept earlier this year and after it has leaked even a few days ago, revealing its final shape, the sports car has been officially presented to the public in a world premiere at the French automotive event. The Jaguar F-Type will be available in three versions, the F-Type, the F-Type S and the F-Type V8 S, with the first one getting a 340 HP 3.0L V6, the second one a 380 HP 3.0L V6 and the latter a new V8 with 495 HP and 625 Nm of torque.
Jaguar says that all engines will be mated to an eight-speed Quichshift transmission and the F-Type V8 S will also get a Dynamic Launch feature. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration in the F-Type V8 S will take 4.9 seconds with a 275 km/h top speed, while the entry-level F-Type will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 260 km/h. Prices for the new British sports car will start at 58,500 GBP for the F-Type, at 67,500 GBP for the F-Type S and at 79,950 GBP for the F-Type V8 S.
