The brand new Land Rover Discovery Sport has seen daylight recently, in an official environment, at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
Originally previewed by the Discovery Vision Concept, the final production version of the Discovery Sport has been introduced by Land Rover in Paris recently. The model in question has a design which has been heavily influenced by the Range Rover Evoque, such as the rakish C-pillar, the LED fog lights, the two bar grille and so on. The model has been also equipped with front fender vents, front and rear skid plates, acoustic laminated windshield, xenon headlights with integrated LED DRLs and other.
The interior design of the model has gained the 60/40 split second row of seats, the infotainment system with its 8-inch display system, multi-function steering wheel, metallic trim, gloss black accents, optional third row of seats which is folding into the floor and the analog gauges. The vehicle can also get the two-zone climate control, leather upholstery, 10-speaker audio system and so on.
The brand new Land Rover Discovery Sport has a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, rated at 240 HP (179 kW) and 338 Nm (250 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive offered as standard. This will be the American version, while the European one will come with an SD4 turbo diesel 2.2 liter unit, with 190 HP (139 kW), mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or to the 9-speed automatic.
