The French automaker Peugeot has once more showcased to the public the facelifted range of the 508 model, including the rugged RXH offering.
Europe’s second largest carmaker has only one offering – the 508 model – that covers what were once two separate segment models, the 407 and 607. So, the 508 sits somewhere in the middle, bigger than your average mid-size car and at the lower spectrum of the large-class segment.
The company opted for a mild redesign this year to keep the model fresh, which brought a more upscale appearance and cues that relate to the latest offerings of the make, such as the 108 and 308. There’s a revised grille, new LED headlights and a flatter hood. When it comes to the back you need a keen eye to spot the differences, but we did notice a new rear bumper and restyled taillights.
Inside, the cabin is even less touched, but Peugeot has upgraded the materials choice and there’s a new center-console storage box. Via a 7-inch touchscreen display the owner can access Peugeot Connect Apps, there’s also a four-zone climate control system, a JBL audio system and a heads-up display.
The 508 RXH has now adopted the sedan’s HYbrid4 technology, securing higher all-road prowess, versatility in use and better environmental performance.
