Seat displays alongside the new Leon the estate version of its smaller Ibiza model, called Ibiza ST.
It is the third bodyshell variant of the Ibiza range, after the 3-door Ibiza SC and the 5-door Ibiza.
Naturally, with the Ibiza ST Seat put the emphasis on practicality and functionality, but without making any concessions in its design. Despite the fact that it features sporty lines, the Ibiza ST has a generous boot, with a volume of 430 liters. The rear-bench is split 60:40 and can be folded completely, freeing a storage space of up to 1,164 liters. Maximum load capacity is 515 kilograms and Seat says there is even plenty of room inside for two bicycles with their front wheels removed.
Standard equipment package for the Ibiza ST includes illumination and bag hooks in the luggage compartment. As an option, SEAT can deliver nets and additional box compartment under the tray for the load compartment. Depending on the engine version, the SEAT Ibiza ST can tow up to 1,200 kilograms (braked, on an 8 percent incline).
Speaking of engines, the Ibiza ST is available with three and four-cylinder power units. The range of petrol units extends from the frugal 60 hp 1.2-liter engine to the sporty 1.4 TSI with supercharger and turbocharger that develops 150 hp. The latter is also available for the ST version, which will wear the FR badge for the first time. Diesel lovers can choose between the 75 hp 1.2 TDI CR and the 1.6 TDI CR, available in two power versions, of 90 hp and 105 hp.
