The Adam S has been officially presented to the public by Opel / Vauxhall at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, as the model in question will become available for order sometimes next month.
The newest version of the Opel Adam is named the Adam S and this has been officially unveiled at the French automotive event. This has been previewed by the Adam S Concept and it has a familiar design, standing out thanks to the front lip spoiler, to the sporty rear wing, to the aerodynamic side skirts, the LED daytime running lights, the red brake calipers or the 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, amongst others.
The cabin of the vehicle is not that different and it has been carried over but there are new seating options which include the Nappa leather, the Morrocana and the Recaro Performance seats, along with the IntelliLink infotainment system, coming with the 7-inch display, the special floor mats, the Siri Eyes Free compatibility and the Bluetooth connection.
The Opel Adam S has also received a high performance braking system, a sport tuned suspension system and a retuned steering system and so on. Power is coming from a 1.4L turbocharged engine, rated at 150 HP (110 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 8.5 seconds and top speed stands at more than 200 km/h (124 mph). The model is burning 6.4L / 100km (44.1 mpg UK / 36.7 mpg US). The Opel Adam S will open its order books in November and the first deliveries will begin in 2015.
