Volkswagen has recently pulled the wraps off the Golf VII GTI Concept during the 2012 Paris Motor Show.
After the final production version of the five-door hatchback has been unveiled earlier this month, the German based automaker Volkswagen is currently working on the new Golf VII GTI and the concept car, which is previewing the model has been presented to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. According to the car manufacturer, the Volkswagen Golf VII GTI Concept is similar to what the final production version of the model will look like once it will hit the market in early 2013.
The all-new Volkswagen Golf GTI will get two power levels in stage one and stage two, both of them being powered by the 2.0 liter direct injected turbocharged four-cylinder engine, with Stage 1 producing 217 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.6 seconds and providing it with a top speed of 152 mph, while in Stage 2 the unit will develop 226 HP and it will allow the hot hatch to spring from 0 to 62 mph in 6.5 seconds before reaching a top speed of 155 mph. Both versions of the new Golf GTI will get stop/start system and six-speed dual clutch transmission as standard.
