A parking warden ticketed a car in Cambridge without realizing the driver was dead in the back seat.
The officer spotted the Nissan Qashqai had run out of time in a pay-and-display bay.
He thought the car was empty and wrote out a ticket. But then he spotted a man slumped on the back seat and called police.
Police were called and a forensic tent was put up over the Nissan Qashqai as officers scoured it for clues as to how the driver died.
Police believe the man may have suffered a heart attack and may have been in the city for Christmas shopping.
“Police attended the scene and investigations were carried out. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
The man has not yet been named.
