Pebble Beach isn’t all about elegance, it’s also about Bentley Bentayga towing a trailer image

For the first time ever a tow bar option is becoming available on a Bentley model, with the Bentayga displaying this interesting amenity at the Pebble Beach event – probably complete with trailer.

We’re unsure why people willing to pay the check for a Bentayga would go through the “hassle” of owning a trailer – be it a luxury one – but it appears Bentley isn’t willing to let even a single client slip. The British ultra-luxury automaker is again willing to further expand the super-luxurious Bentayga SUV’s optional list by adding a tow bar – a first in the company’s 97-year history. And this first ever type of equipment is going to be showcased to the public during the Monterey Auto Week. To also pay respects to the hauling capabilities, the Bentayga is going to be mated with a Bowlus Road Chief handcrafted, lightweight luxury trailer at the legendary Laguna Seca circuit. Also, the Bowlus Road Chief – Limited Edition Lithium+ trailer will be seen at the Quail as well as during Bentley’s Pebble Beach Signature Party on Saturday night.

This interesting option is nothing compared to the other accessory on display – the Mulliner Tourbillon self-winding clock that can be had for no less than $160,000 – which is pretty much very close to the vehicle’s own starting price of $229,100. Bentley’s “old roster” will be well represented as well, with a 1932 Bentley 8-Litre Tourer by Vanden Plas or a 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental Fastback Sports Saloon.
