Performance academy offered to Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V buyers image

When opting to buy the 2017 Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V rear-wheel drive monster, a good idea is to also go for some taming training – such as the V-Performance Academy.

New owners of the 2017 Cadillac ATS-V and CTS-V can now have a blast on board their new rides during two days of instruction at the V-Performance Academy, held at Spring Mountain Motor Resort near Las Vegas. The program will have transportation ready from the Las Vegas airport to Spring Mountain, two nights’ accommodation at the track’s luxury suites, breakfast and lunch on-site, as well as entry for another non-driving guest. The only thing that cost extra are the plane tickets and the fees for the guests if they also want to drive.

Set in the desert, Spring Mountain is a nice venue to learn how to safely push the V-Series Cadillacs to their limits, with the company adding the V-Performance Academy classes were specifically tailored to the beasts’ performances. The Cadillac ATS-V sedan and coupe have a 464-hp 3.6-liter biturbo V6 engine and an eight-speed auto or a six speed manual. Go for the higher priced CTS-V and you’re in for a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 ride. Of course Cadillac is not the only automaker to offer driving lessons to its performance owners, but we salute every single attempt to make roads safer.
