You probably remember the Peugeot 2008 DKR from somewhere and it’s definitely not from that last apocalypse movie you’ve seen but from the fact that the company has officially pulled the wraps off its body last year. Now, several months after it was introduced, the car manufacturer has decided to release some new details on it and so we find out that 18 inches of suspension travel and it’s lacking on 4WD, being a two-wheel drive car.
This basically allows it to ride on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 37-inch tires and it will be taking its power to the 3.0 liter V6 bi-turbo diesel engine, which has been mounted behind the driver. The unit is capable of an impressive 340 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque, which are being sent to the rear-wheel drive. Peugeot has drivers ready for the 2015th edition of the Dakar Rally such as Cyril Despres, a motorcycle expert, and Carlos Sainz, a Spanish World Rally Champion.
