The French based automaker Peugeot has officially unveiled the 2008 DKR, which will tackle the next year’s Dakar Rally.
Peugeot is getting ready to return to the popular Dakar Rally, after a 25-year brake, with the brand new 2008 racer. The model in question has a menacing look and it seems like a vehicle which can successfully get you out of a horde of zombies.
“The muscular, thoroughbred yet beastlike forms of the Peugeot 2008 DKR provide a vivid indication of the new car’s serious desire for success. It is behind the wheel of this purpose-designed machine that Carlos Sainz and Cyril Despres will defend the colours of Team Peugeot Total on next January’s Dakar”, as Peugeot is saying in its official press release.
The Peugeot 2008 DKR has an aggressive stance, black livery, 37-inch off-road Michelin tires, a large rear wing, a short front overhang and it’s missing the rear doors. Additional details on the racer which will tackle the Dakar Rally next year are limited for the moment but they will be released on the 20th of April, during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, so keep a close eye on the debuts of the Chinese automotive event in order to find out more about it.
