The Peugeot 2008, the 208 based SUV, has been recently spied while it was undergoing testing.
After starting its life back in 2011 as a simple rumor, and with the model leaking earlier this year, the Peugeot 2008 is being placed into the spotlights once more, this time by the guys at worldcarfans.com, who have managed to catch it in action. Despite its heavy camouflage, the prototype version of the Peugeot 2008 is getting a tailgate mounted spoiler, some large air intakes and a lot more, which will contribute to the final design of the model.
Our source is saying that the final production version of the Peugeot 2008 will get a choice of the 1.2 liter VTi, with 82 HP, the larger 1.4 VTi with 95 HP, the 1.6 VTi with 120 HP, the 1.6 THP with 156 HP, the 1.4 HDi diesel generating 70 HP and the 1.6 HDi producing 92 HP. More details about the Peugeot 2008 are expected to be known sometimes next year, close to its debut. As a quick reminder, the Peugeot 2008 will be a direct rival for the Nissan Juke, the Ford EcoSport or the Opel Mokka.
