Peugeot has finally released the first details with the 208 T16 Pikes Peak racing car, which was officially unveiled last week.
The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak is coming with a tubular steel frame , with double wishbone suspension, hydraulic double-circuit brakes with light alloy calipers 380 mm front and 355 mm rear ventilated carbon discs and it’s riding on 18×13 magnesium alloy wheels, which have been derived from F1 technology and are wrapped in 31/71×18 tires. The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak is weighing just 875 kg (1,929 lbs) and it its 4,500 mm long, 2,000 mm wide and 1,300 mm tall, with a 2,695 mm wheelbase.
Power to the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak is being provided by a 3.2 liter twin-turbo V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 875 BHP (652 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 1.8 seconds. From 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph), the Pikes Peak French race car can accelerate in just 4.8 seconds and from 0 to 240 km/h (149 mph) it can sprint in 7 seconds. The vehicle has a 40-liter fuel tank capacity.
