The French based automaker Peugeot has recently announced its plans to present the Pikes Peak winning 208 T16 during the Goodwood Festival of Speed, next week.
Peugeot says that the impressive 208 T16, which managed to win the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, with nine-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb behind the wheel, will be driven at the Goodwood Festival of Speed by the company’s test driver Gregory Guilvert. The 31-year old driver has competed in the European FIA GT3 championship last year and he was responsible for testing the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak.
As a quick reminder, the Peugeot 208 T16 is powered by an impressive 3.2 liter V6 twin turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 875 HP (652 kW). The unit is mated to a six-speed sequential transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters which are helping the racer accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 1.8 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.8 seconds and from 0 to 240 km/h (149 mph) in 7 seconds. The Peugeot 208 T16 will arrive at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the 11th of July.
