Peugeot has recently pulled the wraps off the 208 T16 Pikes Peak race car, which will compete in the legendary hill climb this summer.
Following the teaser images released just a day ago, the brand new Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the French based automaker officially pulling the wraps off its body. The Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak has been created by Peugeot Sport and it’s specially designed in order to tackle Pikes Peak, the legendary hill climb, on the 30th of June.
Even if the Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak has been officially unveiled, the carmaker didn’t announce any specifications on it, but we can see the model’s carbon fiber body, the wide side skirts, the ventilated hood or the side existing system, along with the massive rear wing or the rear diffuser. The race car has a stripped out interior, with an Alcantara wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a carbon fiber racing seat, a roll cage, a digital instrument cluster and ally pedals. The model will be driven by Sebastien Loeb and it will compete in the Unlimited Class, where it will have to do 20 km, 1,500 meter elevation change and 156 turns.
