French automaker Peugeot has sold out its limited production run of 3008 HYbrid4 Limited Edition models in just nine days!
These 300 units of the first Full Hybrid diesel in the world were snapped up in just 9 days, and some customers were left disappointed, in what was clearly a highly promising start for the 3008 HYbrid4 which will be delivered as of summer 2011.
With the 3008 HYbrid4 crossover, the environmentally-friendly combination of diesel and electric power also paves the way for 4 wheel drive, a maximum power of 200 bhp, ZEV mode (Zero Emission Vehicle), and 3.8 litres/100 km, with 99 g/km of CO2.
Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 Limited Edition was priced at $57,800 on the European market and although expensive, it came with plenty of futuristic and luxurious features like black headlight lining with LED light strips, two-tone leather upholstery, leather-covered dashboard and chrome finish.
Auto picks the most efficient blend of diesel and electric power, while Sport brings in the full 200bhp. A 4WD setting shifts power between the front and rear. It can also brake the wheel with the least amount of grip, for better control on challenging surfaces. Electric-only mode runs on battery power alone.
