Peugeot 308 GTi gets priced on the Old Continent image

It has been unveiled just a few weeks back but Peugeot has already announced its official starting price.

We’re talking about the newest addition to the C-segment for hot hatches, the new 308 GTi. The model in question has been launched officially across the European continent just a day ago and its starting price is coming in at 33,700 euros. For the money, customers will be getting the entry-level model, equipped with a 1.6 turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is capable of putting down a total of 250 HP (184 kW) and 330 Nm (244 lb-ft) of torque.

This version is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission. You can spend extra on the DENON sound system, available at 510 euros, another 260 euros for the rearview camera and 1,800 euros for the panoramic roof and twin-color design. Peugeot is also offering the more powerful version of the new 308 GTi, which is producing 270 HP (200 kW) and the same 330 Nm (244 lb-ft) of torque. This is also equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and it needs 0.2 seconds less to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill than the 308 GTi 250. This has a starting price of 37,200 euros and it is significantly more expensive than the entry-level VW Golf GTI, which is coming in at 33,750 euros, in its 3-door version, with the 220 HP 2.0 liter engine. The first deliveries will begin on the 22nd of October.
