The French based automaker Peugeot is planning to introduce a brand new concept car, the 308 R, next month, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere.
The first images with Peugeot’s newest creation, the 308 R Concept, have recently made their way onto the web, revealing the vehicle’s exterior design ahead of its public debut, scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on the 10th of September. The brand new Peugeot 308 R Concept is finished in a two-tone paint job, red and black, and it has been fitted with a body kit which is making it look more aggressive than the standard model.
The Peugeot 308 R Concept can easily stand out from a crowd thanks to its larger bumpers, revised side skirts, roof mounted spoiler, dual exhaust arrangement, lowered ride height and massive alloy wheels. Power to the model is expected to be provided by a 1.6 liter THP engine, the same one used on the RCZ R. The unit is generating 270 HP (201 kW) at 6,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 330 Nm (243 lb-ft), available from 1,900 rpm. More details on the 308 R Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced in Frankfurt.
