After announcing a new MPV Concept with a staggering low fuel consumption and CO2 emission that will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Peugeot decided to reveal its new hybrid 508 RXH flagship which will be showcased at the same German event next month.
As you are probably used to, the 508 RXH hybrid has the same Peugeot “tactics”, where the diesel engine powers the front wheels and the electric motor drives the rear wheels. According to the French automaker, the new 508 RXH is using the same 2.0 HDi engine, found on the 3008 Hybrid4, and an electric motor, for a 67.2 mpg combined fuel economy and CO2 emissions of 109g/km, delivering a total of 200 BHP.
The 508 RXH has different dimensions from the 508 SW, being 40 mm wider and 50 mm higher, equipped with electric front seats, head-up display, panoramic glass roof, dark-tinted acoustic laminated side windows and half-leather trim as standard, while sitting on 18 inch wheels.
The new Peugeot 508 RXH will be a special edition launched in just 300 units globally, and it will be officially presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Its starting price isn’t known for now but it’s expected to be somewhere around 30.000 pounds.
