Peugeot 508 sedan receives new diesel hybrid version image

The French based automaker Peugeot has recently announced that the 508 sedan has received a new version, named the HYbrid4.

The mid-size model made by Peugeot, the 508 sedan, will be available to its future customers in a new version, named the HYbrid4, which will be available on all body styles. According to the car manufacturer, the HYbrid4 version is the same system which was used until now only on the 508 SW and on the 508 RXH crossover. Just like its larger brothers, the HYbrid4 version which will now be available on all 508 body styles, is equipped with the same 2.0 liter Hdi diesel engine, which is developing 163 HP, mated to an electric motor generating 37 HP and moving the rear wheels.

Peugeot says that the total output offered by the diesel burner and the electric motor is 200 horsepower and the driver of the 508 equipped with the HYbrid4 can choose between four driving modes. The hybrid version of the 508 sedan is burning an average of 3.6 liters of fuel every 100 km and it’s emitting just 95 g/km of CO2. The Peugeot 508 sedan HYbrid4 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km in 9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 209 km/h. The model will be launched in Europe in July.
