An all-electric version of the Peugeot Partner will go on sale in the second quarter of 2013, as the French based automaker has recently announced.
The Peugeot Partner Electric will be available in two lengths, 4.38 meters and 4.63 meters and the first one will provide a load volume of 3.7 cubic meters, while the latter will offer 3.3 cubic meters. The payload is 685 kg (1,510 pounds) but, even so, the batteries will still take a long time to recharge and the total range offered by the model in question will be 170 km (105 miles), so for a man who is providing for his family with this vehicle it won’t be enough.
Power to the Peugeot Partner Electric will be provided by an electric motor which is producing a total output of 67 HP (49 kW) and 200 Nm of torque (147 lb-ft), which will be “helped” on the way by two 22.5 kW/h batteries, installed under the body on either side of the rear axle. The batteries will be filled in two modes, normal, in 6 to 9 hours (up to 16A) and fast, in half an hour up to 80 percent (125 A). More details on the Peugeot Partner Electric will be announced next year, close to its launch.
