Peugeot has pulled the wraps of the brand new 308 SW ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, which will officially open its gates in March.
The second body style of the new Peugeot 308 generation, the 308 SW, is being fully revealed only months after the regular five-door hatchback has seen daylight for the first time. The model in question is getting a 610 liter of trunk space which according to the French based automaker is “class leading”, but this is not entirely true, considering the fact that the Honda Civic Tourer is offering 624 liters of cargo area.
The result is still impressive as well as the extended length of the car, which has grown from 4,253 mm to 4,580 mm, while the trunk capacity has increased by 140 liters, compared to the hatchback. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will be carried over from its smaller brother and this includes the BlueHDi version, which will emit just 85 g/km of CO2. The brand new Peugeot 308 SW is riding on the same EMP2 architecture but more details on it will be announced in a couple of months, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
