A man from the Philippines had to buy a brand new Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in order to become eligible for the brand new LaFerrari.
Ferrari is known to be one of the most prestigious carmakers in the world and in order to keep its high standards it has some internal policies which don’t allow some people to become owners of its limited supercars. One of these vehicles is the brand new LaFerrari, the first every hybrid supercar produced by the company, so in order for a man in the Philippines to be considered eligible for the LaFerrari, he had to buy an F12 Berlinetta.
The model in question was actually the first ever F12 Berlinetta sold in the Asian country and its new owner had to pay approximately 753,000 USD. This is his fifth Ferrari supercar and by the Maranello based automaker’s standards, he is now eligible for one of the 499 units of the LaFerrari. It remains to be seen whether the Philippino man will actually manage to get his hands on the hybrid supercar, but if he doesn’t, there are always the McLaren P1 and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder to satisfy his needs.
