As a quick reminder, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is powered by the company’s LT1 6.2 liter V8 engine, with direct injection and CVVT (continuously variable valve timing). The unit is developing a total output of 450 BHP and it has a peak torque of 450 lb-ft (609 Nm). This is enough to allow the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 4 seconds and to achieve 26+ mpg on the highway. The new Corvette will get a similar starting price to the outgoing version, as John Fitzpatrick, the GM performance cars marketing manager, has recently announced. More details on the new Corvette will be announced close to its launch.
