[PHOTO GALLERY] 2012 Audi RS5 facelift start at GBP58,725

The facelifted version of the Audi RS5, which is going on sale with the 2012 model year on it, has been recently launched in the United Kingdom, where the entry-level version has been set at 58,725 GBP.

The 2012 Audi RS5 facelift has been officially presented to the public last year, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and it’s coming with a revised single frame grille design, new look front and rear bumpers, more pronounced hood contours, LED daytime running lights, LED rear lights and a new set of 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels. In the cabin, the facelifted Audi RS5 gets multimedia interface, detail improvements to the air conditioning, RS three-spoke steering wheels, mirror adjustment and electric window switchgear and new optional inlays.

Under the hood, the 2012 Audi RS5 is powered by a handmade 4.2 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 444 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 430 Nm (317 lb-ft). Power is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed S-tronic transmission. The Sport Package is being offered as a new optional, for 2,250 GBP, adding featurs like dynamic steering, sports exhaust, dynamic ride control and 20-inch rotor-design alloy wheels. The model can also be fitted with an upgraded cruise control system which is using radar sensors in order to control distance from traffic in front of the vehicle at speeds between 19 mph and 155 mph. Deliveries of the 2012 Audi RS5 in the UK will begin in April.
