The North American based automaker Ford has placed its 2013 model year Mustang in the spotlights once again by releasing some interesting details about it, ahead of its official debut at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to Ford, the new Mustang packs a 5.0 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 420 horsepower, compared to the current 412 HP, available with a SelectShift automatic transmission. The 2013 Mustang comes with a Brembo braking package, engine oil cooler and upgraded radiator, along with the Boss 302’s graphics package, similar to the design used in 1970.
“The new Mustang is the perfect example of continuing to build on excellence. It takes the greatness of the 5.0 liter and V6 and pushes the refinement to the next level. The car has been spot-on functionally and now we’re adding features and technology to further improve the driver’s experience”, said the Mustang chief engineer, Dave Pericak.
The 2013 Ford Mustang will be available with two new colors, Deep Impact Blue and Gotta Have It Green, and it will be built at the AutoAlliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan, being expected to go on sale early next year, after it will be officially presented at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.
