Aston Martin has officially pulled the wraps off the new V12 Vantage Roadster and a complete photo gallery has been released by the British based automaker along with more details on the supercar.
The new model in Aston Martin’s lineup, the V12 Vantage Roadster, is getting carbon fiber everywhere, starting with the handmade front splitter, going through the mirror caps and ending with the rear lamp surrounds. The V12 Vantage Roadster is getting a redesigned rear boot lid, a modified rear damper setup, lower front air intake, a new rear spring design and front and rear damper valve tuning, making the two-seat cabriolet irresistible.
“The V12 Vantage models are, first and foremost, driver’s cars – inviting and fully rewarding the driver’s full involvement. I believe no other car in this class offers the combination of the V12 Vantage Roadster’s prestige, six-speed manual gearbox and the unique enjoyment that driving a high performance convertible can deliver”, said the Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Ulrich Bez.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine which is developing a total output of 512 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the rear wheels. The 0 to 62 mph acceleration takes just 4.5 seconds in the new Aston drop-top and the supercar can hit a top speed of 190 mph. The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster is already available for order in selected market, priced at 150,000 GBP, 15,000 pounds more than the Coupe.
