The British based brand Bentley has officially unveiled the GTC V8 Convertible ahead of its debut.
The new Bentley Continental GTC V8 Convertible is one impressive ride which stands out to its name, coming with some changes in its design, like the gloss black matrix grille with chrome surround, the dark rear lower valance or de new redesigned wheels and let’s not forget the new exhaust tips either. According to the car manufacturer, the Bentley Continental GTC V8 Convertible is also coming with a brand new engine, which is smaller, lighter and it’s offering better fuel economy than the “classic” W12.
“The new V8 engine gives Bentley a three-engine line-up for the first time since the early days of the company and we’re confident it will characterize the Bentley driving experience just as the 6.75 V8 and 6.0 W12 drivetrains do. Hitting the efficiency targets we set ourselves was a though challenge; but not only is the new 4.0 V8 a standard-setter for fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, it also rewards the keen driver exactly as a Bentley engine should”, said the head of Chassis and Powertrain Engineering, Bentley Motors, Brian Gush.
The Bentley Continental GTC V8 Convertible is powered by an Audi co-developed twin-turbo V8 engine, which is developing a total output of 507 horsepower at 6.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) available between 1.700 and 5.000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint time takes 4.8 seconds and the top speed is 303 km/h (188 mph). Prices in Europe start at 149.600 EUR.
