The North American based automaker Cadillac has recently placed the new ATS model into the spotlights, by releasing some more official images with the sedan.
After being officially presented to the public at the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in a world premiere, the Cadillac ATS is now getting ready for its European debut, at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March, and in order to promote it better on the Old Continent, the car manufacturer is releasing more official images with the vehicle.
“The ATS ticks all the right boxes for European customers. It is stylish quick, nimble and great fun to drive. We are very excited to be adding this superb vehicle to our product portfolio. It has all the right credentials to seriously challenge the premium compact segment”, said the company’s European managing director, Wolfgang Schubert.
As a reminder, the new Cadillac AT will go against models like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Audi A4 or the BMW 3-Series, and the base engine of the American sedan will be the 2.5 liter naturally aspirated inline-four unit, which is developing a total output of 200 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 188 lb-ft. Besides this engine, the ATS will also get two more powerplants, the 2.0 liter turbo with 270 HP and 260 lb-ft of torque and the 3.6 liter V6 with 318 HP and 267 lb-ft of torque. The Cadillac ATS will be launched in Europe later this year, after it will debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
