The Italian based automaker Ferrari has decided to release some brand new hi-res images of its drop-top 458 Spider, after presenting not so long ago an official video with the supercar hitting the road.

The fastest convertible yet to be made by the Maranello based manufacturer, the Ferrari 458 Spider, has been officially presented earlier this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show and all eyes have been attracted to its shape and performance.

The magnificent Ferrari 458 Spider takes its power from the 4.5 liter V8 engine which is developing a total output of 570 horsepower at 9.000 rpm and a peak torque of 398 lb-ft available at 6.000 rpm, mated to a dual-clutch seven-speed F1 transmission.

Ferrari says that the convertible version of the 458 Italia, the 458 Spider, can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds while its top speed is 198 mph, compared to the Italia’s 200 mph.

The 458 Spider will be hitting the over-seas auto market next year where the Americans will have to pay 257.000 USD before they will be able to get their hands on the fastest Ferrari convertible ever.
