The South Korean based automaker Hyundai has recently revealed the Hexa Space MPV Concept, at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo.
According to the car manufacturer, the Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept is actually based on the same platform as the compact Hyundai ix20 and the automaker is planning to reinvent the use of interior space with the use of hexagonally shaped seats, which are actually fitting together like puzzle pieces. With maximizing the interior space and keeping the exterior design to a “minimum” level, Hyundai says that the Hexa Space MPV Concept is perfect for cruising the crowed urban streets of India and other similar countries.
The Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept might actually preview a full production model, and its presence at the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo will be a crucial part in its future possible “life”. The vehicle is powered by a small 1.2 liter turbo GDI engine, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, but the car manufacturer didn’t release any details about its performance yet. As we said above, the Hyundai Hexa Space MPV Concept is based on the compact ix20 model, which makes the vehicle 4.300 mm long, 1.820 mm wide and 1.647 mm high, offering a substantial headroom, while the wheel base is 2.750 mm. The model is sitting on 19 inch wheels and the interior design has a touch screen center console and several storage spaces, among other things.
