A turbocharged version of one of the hottest vehicles to come from the South Korean based automaker Hyundai has just been presented at this year’s SEMA Motor Show, being designed by ARK Performance in both visual and performance upgrades.
Even if when talking about a turbocharged version of the Hyundai Veloster usually sounds good, the “fast and furious” like body kit makes the vehicle one of the most disgusting ever and rather than giving it an aggressive look, which is what probably ARK Performance looked for, it has made the Veloster seem to be a hatchback destroyed by a hurricane.
“At SEMA, our ARK Performance Veloster will bridge the realm between an affordable sports car and an extreme motor sports vehicle”, said the ARK Performance owner, Ted Lee, who obviously doesn’t know a thing about cars and body kits.
ARK Performance says that the Hyundai Veloster is still packing the same 1.6 liter GDI direct injection engine which is now developing 210 horsepower and the vehicle has been upgraded with a new turbocharger and intercooler system, intercooler piping system, custom oil cooler, turbo manifold, lightweight pulley system, six-pot big brake kit, eight-point chromoly rally style roll cage, dtp track coilover system, upper strut and front and rear sway bar, camber and control arms, grip dual exhaust and RSEPC downpipes and test pipes, while “Alcantara” is the word you’re looking for when describing the interior.
The body kit doesn’t even worth mentioning and if you like its exterior design than you obviously need new glasses. Photo gallery after the jump, but please don’t enjoy!
