The Japanese electric sports car concept, the Infiniti EMERG-E, has recently leaked on the internet right ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March.
After being originally teased and after that leaking not too long ago, the Infiniti EMERG-E has once again leaked online, this time in better images, which are clearly showing us that secret design, so that the Geneva Motor Show debut of the electric sports car concept won’t be such a surprise. Even if the Infiniti EMERG-E has been teased and leaked several times now, more details on the model haven’t hit the surface yet, so we have to settle, for now, on what we already have.
As a reminder, the Infiniti EMERG-E has been announced back in September, 2011, when the Nissan sub-brand said that it’s working on a new electric vehicle. The upcoming sports car concept is rumored to come with a range-extended capability, just like the Chevrolet Volt, and this will be an important competitor to the North American vehicle, even if the two models are being sold in different segments of the market. Infiniti says that the EMERG-E sports car concept will be powered by a 1.2 liter engine, which will be mounted mid-ship for an optimal handling and weight distribution, and this will be helped on the way by an electric motor and a battery pack. The Infiniti electric sports car concept will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
