Jaguar has recently released the first official images with the new XF Sportbrake, ahead of its official debut on the 6th of March at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
After announcing that the Jaguar XF Sportbrake will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March almost two months ago and after teasing it for the first time last week, the car company has decided that time has come to put the XF Sportbrake model into the spotlights one more time ahead of its debut, and what better way to do just that than by releasing official images with the vehicle.
“The new Jaguar XF Sportbrake has been unveiled ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show and promises to be the most versatile Jaguar ever created”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
According to Jaguar, the XF Sportbrake, which is the second body style to join the XF range, is coming with a new rear end and some new panels behind the B-pillar which are helping create a cargo area of 1,675 liters. The total weight of the car has increased by almost 70 kg, compared to the sedan, and the Sportbrake is 5mm longer than its current brother. Under the hood, the XF Sportbrake will come with a 2.2 liter four-cylinder and with a larger 3.0 liter six-cylinder engine, both of them mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission sending the power to the rear wheels.
