The French based automaker Peugeot has recently revealed the 208 XY Concept ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.

After presenting us with the concept car of the 208 GTI which will eventually become a production version based on the iconic 205 GTI, the car manufacturer has decided to reveal a whole new model, in a concept form, named the 208 XY. As you can see from the images posted below this news, the Peugeot 208 XY Concept is coming with a special livery named “Pulsion” which appears to change color depending on how close to the model you are.

“Special ‘Pulsion’ paintwork means the XY Concept appears to constantly change, depending on the distance and the position from which it is viewed. The ability to transform is the result of an exclusive method, based on the very precise application of sixteen coats of paint and lacquer”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.

The exterior design is being finished by the 18 inch alloy wheels, along with the panoramic glass roof which is coming with colored chrome on the trim. Under the hood, the Peugeot 208 XY Concept is powered by a 1.6 liter e-HDi engine, which is developing a total output of 115 horsepower, mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
